Kirsten Ann Sandner Obituary
Sandner, Kirsten Ann
Kirsten Ann Sandner, 56, of Scottsdale AZ, was called to heaven by God on November 3, 2015, comfortably surrounded by family and close friends, as she was throughout her life. Daughter to Connie and James Ohlin USAF, "Kirstie" was the middle child of five, was born in Holy Oak, MA, grew up in various locations, but ultimately Phoenix, AZ. She graduated from Greenway High in 1978, shortly before meeting her best-friend and husband of 33 years, Jack, 57, whom she precedes in death. Whether the two of them were traveling, riding the motorcycle, or having their weekly date-night, they were inseparable. Their deep love assuredly rivals any of which Virgil or Shakespeare would have you believe. Kirsten attended the University of North Dakota, and finished with a degree in Nursing from Yavapai College. A lifelong and dedicated nurse, Kirsten possessed the characteristics of all great nurses; a true love for patient care, grace, kindness, patience, good humor, liveliness, and of course, loving compassion. As a convert to Catholicism in her early 20s, her faith in the Lord and His plan for her was strong, unwavering, and without doubt, inspiring. Along with her husband, she is survived by her mother Connie, daughter Kacie, son Andrew, daughter-in-law Melissa, soon to be son-in-law Ron, sisters Laurie and Karla, brothers Jimmy and Erik, Step-Mother Betty, aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and too many friends to count. Wife, daughter, mother, sister, friend, and now angel; words can't describe how much Kirsten will be missed. Rosary will be held at 1:00 pm with services for Kirsten at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 20 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. 4715 N. Central Ave. Phoenix, AZ, 85012.
