Larry Al McNutt Obituary
McNutt, Larry Al
May 30 1949 - December 19 2015. Larry Al McNutt, 66, of Fruita, Colorado, passed away December 19, 2015 following a long illness. The son of Patricia and Al Martin, Larry was born in Spokane, Washington but spent most of his childhood in Alaska, where he formed his love for everything outdoors. Larry was relocated to Belen, New Mexico at the age of 13, attended Belen High School and played on the varsity football team. He enlisted in the United States Army at 17 where he served as a Sergeant E5 in Viet Nam. After his service, he relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where he married Deni and used his military training in aircraft mechanics to work in that field and soon formed his own company, Cactus Aviation. 22 years later he took the position of Director of Maintenance for West Star Aviation in Grand Junction, Colorado which he held for 15 years. Larry was very hard working yet found time to spend with his family and friends. He also enjoyed the multitude of camping, fishing and hunting opportunities found in the Grand Junction area. Larry was a very friendly and outgoing person with a unique sense of humor. He was loved by all and would do anything for his family and friends. Larry is survived by his wife Deni McNutt, son Jason McNutt and his wife Jennifer, daughter Brianne McNutt, brother Arnold Martin and father Al Martin. We will all greatly miss and lovingly remember Larry. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on May 27, 2016 at the Grand Junction Veterans Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Brown's Cremation and Funeral Services.
