Schneider, LaVerne C.
age 92, of Sherwood, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at St. Paul Elder Services. She was born to the late Joseph and Clara (Karnawski) Wittbrod on April 17, 1924. She married Robert Schneider on October 24, 1950. She worked many years as a Registered Nurse at Kaukauna Community Hospital and St. Paul Nursing Home. LaVerne enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, and anything that had to do with crafts. She loved taking care of her grandchildren. LaVerne loved to take adventurous drives to see where the road would lead. LaVerne is survived by her children: Frank (Marlene) Schneider, Patricia Schneider, of San Tan Valley, Arizona and Clare (Jerry) Zimmerman; grandchildren: Angela Schneider, Joseph (fiancé Jackie Beining) Schneider, Ashley Zimmerman and Janel (Brian) Randall; great granddaughter Aubrey Randall; a sister Geraldine Wittbrod of Rocklin, California; sisters-in-law: Elvira Karls and Ceil Schneider; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, a sister Audrey Meinke; a brother Fr. Joseph Wittbrod; nephews Greg Meinke and LeRoy Schneider, and Tom Meehl; brothers-in-law: Lloyd Karls, Alex Schneider, and Harold Meinke; and other relatives. Funeral Services for LaVerne will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna with Deacon Steve Vande Hey presiding. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Paul Elder Services for the care and compassion shown to LaVerne for the many years she was there. They would also like to thank St. Paul Hospice for all the care in LaVerne's final days.
