Born Oct 11, 1919 in Great Falls, Montana, passed away June 15, 2013 at the age of 93 in Black Canyon City. Lawrence leaves behind his wife Rebekah, sisters Mary Ennen and Martha Kavanda, children Ruth (Roger) Boynton, Nancy (Denis) Hill, Janice (Steve) Fortier, Norman (Mary) Anderson, and Evelyn (David) Duane, grandchildren Jared & Sara; Myron & Alissa; Jennifer, Melanie & Garrett; Danika, Nolan, Tallon & Cheyanna; Quentin & Raelene, great-grandchildren Andrew & Juliana; Drake & Hanna; Ania, Arik & Andy; Karli & Madisson. Preceded in death are siblings Isabel Smith, Helen Blythe, & Emil Anderson. Lawrence enjoyed a full life. As a young man he volunteered for the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in Montana. During World War II, he went to Midway Island and Hawaii. After his discharge, Lawrence worked as a carpenter until being hired by the US Postal Service. He loved to play games and all kinds of sports with his children and friends. Visitation will be held at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, Saturday June 22, 2013 at 9am. Services will be at 10am, with burial immediately following at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd, Phoenix. Potluck following.
