St. Dennis, Lonnie "Lon"
73, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away at the Sherman Home , on September 25, 2015. Born in North Bend, Oregon, on October 16, 1941, he was the son of Louis and Beatrice (Kingsford) St. Dennis. After graduating from Albany Union High in 1960, Lonnie served in the United States Army. During his time in the military, he met his wife, Kay Ellen Hopefl, at a military dance. They were married in 1964. In 1971, Lon and his family returned to Oregon, were he held various positions, prior to creating his own company. Lon started PS Promotions, where he not only took pride in his business, but truly relished the friends he made during his time in business.
Lon was a long-time Oregon State University Athletic supporter. An avid golfer, he was a member of The Springhill Country Club in Albany, Oregon and the Ancala Country Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. Lon was a car buff, who belonged to the Over the Hill Gang in Phoenix, Arizona. His true passion was cars. He took great pride in restoring his 1937 Ford Coupe. Lon won many awards and was nationally recognized for his prized Ford. He leaves his son, Dan St. Dennis and his wife, Mindy; his daughter, Dawn Mabrey and her husband, Todd; five grandchildren: Alex (20), Hannah (18), Brycen (17), Jessica (15) and Mason (3); a companion, Arlene Casale; and many close friends. Lon requested to have Funeral and Memorial Services in Albany, Oregon. The dates have not yet been determined. Donations can be made to the (hhtp:/donate.cancer.org), in memory of Lon.
