Loretta S. Vratanina Obituary
Vratanina, Loretta S.
85, of Show Low, AZ passed away on June 27, 2016. Born in Chicago, IL, she is predeceased by her parents, Joseph & Stella Biesiadecki, sister, Phyllis Devlin & brother Marvin Biesiadecki. After high school, Loretta married her one true love, Fred, and went from the big city to the rural farm life she so loved and cherished on the Vratanina family farm in Weyerhauser, WI. She loved learning farm life, working the fields, milking cows and became a wonderful cook under the skilled tutiledge of her mother-in-law Caroline. Collecting and trying out new recipies became her life long passion. Right about now she is probably busy teaching God the art of Polish cooking! Loretta was extremely proud of her Polish heritage and was especially fond of making her favorite toast in polish, "nostrovia"! Over the years Loretta took on several careers but was most proud of her work managing the food court at Metrocenter in Phx. She spent her retirement years crocheting, gardening and of course cooking in her beautiful home among the cool pines of Show Low, AZ, which reminded her of Wisconsin. Survivors include her four daughters, Linda Romanowski, Leslie Callow, Carol Smith & Diana Hansen, her sister Agnes Colling, nieces Jennifer Devlin & Susan Colling, nephews Jim Colling, Scott Mullin & Mark Mullin, granddaughters Jennifer Lawless & Melissa Aborne, grandson Rob Callow & Brian Hansen and great-grandchildren Trevor, Brandon, Joshua, Heather and Makayla. Cremation arrangements handled by Owens Livingston Mortuary, Show Low AZ. A private celebration of Loretta's life will be held by the family, followed by burial in the Biesiadecki family plot in Necedah, WI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Show Low Church of God, P.O. Box 1879, Show Low, AZ 85902.
