Stone, Lucille Gertrude Bacon
Mrs. Lucille Stone, 2/8/1924-3/4/2013, was born in Tempe, AZ. She was raised in Globe, AZ and attended Northern Arizona University. She was married during WWII to Floyd A. Stone Jr. "Stoney" and lived in Seligman, AZ until they purchased the Tortilla and Reevis Ranches. Lucille's volunteer work included Membership and Presidency of Arizona Mahannah Club; Cowbelles (now the Arizona Cattlewomen's Association); 50+ year member of The Order of the Eastern Star; and served as President of the National Cattlewomen's Association in 1977. Lucille moved to Merced, CA in 1979 where she was a real estate agent before becoming General Manager of Evergreen Memorial Park. Shortly after retiring she moved to Stockton where she volunteered at the American Cancer Society Discover Shop. Those privileged to know Lucille knew a gifted, vibrant, witty, loving, caring person. She will be profoundly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her two daughters, Susan Jamison and Lillian Salstrom; Grandchildren, Samuel and Dawn Stevenson, and Paige L. Reyes and Haley LS Garcia; Great grandchildren, Kendal and Colton Reyes and Hudson and Brooklynn Garcia. Services will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Mesa, AZ at 9:30 am, Tuesday, March 19th.
