Messner, Lynda Kae
Mrs. Lynda Kae Messner, of Phoenix, AZ, died on Monday, December 21, 2015, after battling rheumatoid arthritis, degenerative disc disease, and a prolonged respiratory condition for several years. She was 63. Lynda was born on March 12, 1952, to Arthur Wayne Allen and Jean Howerton-Snyder in Columbia, MO. The third child of three, she was raised by Addison and Jean Snyder. She attended Marshalltown High School in Marshalltown, IA. Lynda went on to receive her certification in medical transcription from Glendale Community College, Glendale, AZ. She had worked in the medical profession for over 30 years before her untimely medical retirement in 2008. In 1987, Lynda met Joe Messner, with his daughter, Tiffany. They were the inspiration behind Lynda's short but fulfilling life "I watched her coax Tiffany out of her shell and involved her in reading, singing and art," said Joe. "She pulled laughter into a room. She emanated light and had touched many souls." Joe and Lynda married in 1988, and welcomed in their pets Sunshine, Coco, Dazzle, Tessie, Shelby, Piper, and Abbie into their home. Lynda loved her family deeply, she had a passion for stained glass, cross-stitching, camping, sport shooting, and her pet Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. She loved gardening, feeding the Hummingbirds, canning, dehydrating fruits, and making homemade dog treats for her Cavilers. Lynda is survived by her son, Chris Ingledue (wife Jenny) of Steamboat Rock, IA.; her stepdaughters, Christina, Tiffany, stepson Jay, and 16 grandchildren; her husband, Joe; her mother, Jean Snyder; and her sister, Carole Larson (husband James DiMaio) of Parole IA; brother-in-law, John White of Nevada, IA., nephews, Anthony Cooper (wife Sheryl) of Hayward, CA., Joseph Kelderman of Coralville, IA. She is preceded in death by her father, Arthur Wayne Allen; stepfather, Addison Dean Snyder; and her sister, Kathleen Sue Kelderman.
