Myers (Scott) Peterson, Margy Ann
76, of Sun City West, AZ passed away on December 24, 2015, to be with her Lord Jesus after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Margy was born in Battle Creek, MI, March 19, 1939 to William J. and Elsie M. (Woodard) Scott. On July 6, 1954, Margy Scott married Kenneth Wayne Peterson; they had three children. At age 27, Margy married Walter James Myers on November 19, 1966; they had two children. Margy and Walt lived in Bellevue, MI until 1997, when they moved to Aiken, SC; ten years later they relocated to Sun City West, AZ. Margy was preceded in death by her parents, brother William E. Scott, step father Omar Walker, stepson Michael P. Monaghan, and two grandsons, Blake Stroman and Lael Miles. She is survived by her husband Walter J. Myers; brother Gerald L. Scott (Gloria) of Battle Creek, MI; sister Sharon M. Peterson (James) of Sun City West, AZ; and sister-in-law Dorothy Stevens (Orville) of Woodlake, CA. Margy's five children survive her: Darla Ann Stroman of Battle Creek, MI; Kenneth Troy Peterson (Angela) of Spring Arbor, MI; Charmaine Renee Nava (Gene) of Tucson, AZ; Bethanie Lynn McVicker (Mark) of McPherson, KS; and Vinson James Myers (Jenny) of Redmond, WA; as well as stepdaughter Deborah D. Snow of Erie, PA, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and close friends who love her. Open visitation will be at Camino del Sol Chapel, 13738 Camino del Sol, Sun City West, AZ, Tuesday, January 19, 2016, from 2:00 - 4:00pm with family present. Following the time of visitation a gathering will be at 14218 W. Aleppo Drive, Sun City West, from 4:30 - 6:00pm. Instead of flowers, if you wish, please make a donation in memory of Margy to the or Serenity Hospice, which was always there for Margy and family caregivers.
