Maria Isla Obituary
Maria Luisa Isla of Glendale, AZ passed away December 28, 2009 at the age of 53. She is survived by her two sons George Isla, Jr and Alexander Isla, their spouses Diane and Rhea respectively, and grandchildren Saige, Jorge, Teage, Joaquin, and Camille Isla. Her siblings include her brothers Ramon, Juan, Toño, Luis, Ruben, and Carlos Balmaceda and sisters Maga Rojas, Lupe Cavazos, and Rosa Duarte. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Also enduring is her ex-husband of 17 years and father of her two sons, George Isla, Sr. She was a vibrant and giving person. On numerous occasions she opened her home to friends and family in need without question. She contributed to several non-profit organizations and would literally give you the shirt off her back if needed. Maria was an ambitious, hard working woman with a tremendous sense of humor that permeated in the attitudes of those around her. This woman's drive was boundless; in the face of adversity she overcame life's obstacles gracefully, all the while, never compromising the happiness of others for her own. She loved life and held her family and friends close to her heart. Her spirit will continue to live on in everyone she has touched. As a mother and grandmother she is sorely missed and will never be forgotten. The viewing for this truly special woman will be held at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd, Peoria, AZ on January 6, 2010 from 6 pm to 8 pm with a Formal Service on January 7, 2010 at 10 am.

esta noticia fue muy dura para mi,muneca fue una persona muy especial para mi, el tiempo que estuve dentro de su familia, siempre tuvimos muy buena amistad, me pudo en el alma no estar con su familia en ese momento tan doloroso, pero mi corazon aun esta ahi, solo me queda decir que dios los bendiga y enga resignacion pronto

esta noticia me dolio en el corazon, porque ella fue una persona muy especial para mi, siempre tan alegre, pido disculpas por no haber asistidi a su funeral, pero por razones que la familia sabe no pude presentarme, pero mi corazon esta con toda su familia, ella esta en un lugar mejor solo se nos adelanto en el camino, dios los bendiga

Maria, may the lord welcome you in heaven, I know you'll make it fun for everybody up there just as you did for all of us down here. I didn't know Maria very long I worked with her for a couple of weeks but I can say that she was a good lady and she loved her family very much. She was so proud of her Sons. She told me about them the first day and showed me pictures of everybody. She was definately the life of the party. She will be missed. I pray for her family.

I'm so sorry to hear that Maria is no longer among us. I only interacted with her a few times and it was enough to know that she was a special women.

My prayers are with you in your time of grief. I have memories of working with you at CIT and during a rough time in my life you helped me and I appreciate you. I was without a vehicle and you went out of your way every morning to assure I made it to and from work until I was able to get back on my feet. Hello my name is Juanita, I known her for about 5months. I met her at Valle Del Sol, she was my best friend, it seems like if I known her for many years. We got very close, she is a very wonderful person with a big heart. I felt like if I was like a sister to her because she had lots of trust in me, she would talk to me about her problems that happened in her life, even it there were good or bad. She also was there for me when ever I needed it someone to talk to. Every morning around 8:30am she would call me to say good morning and that was everyday. We would take lunch together. I will miss her very much, but she will always be in my heart.
