Coy, Marilou Hart
93, passed away on Sept. 9, 2015. She was born on January 17, 1922 in Beverly, MA to George Hart and Marguerite Hazen Hart. She married Glenn Coy at the age of 17 and was widowed at 35. She had 3 children, worked for Sears in credit and retired in 1990. For the next 25 years she volunteered for many organizations including her beloved church, the Valley Unitarian Universalist Church. She was very proud to received the Unsung Hero Award from them. She will be remembered forever for her love and beautiful smile by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her husband Glenn Coy, her son Samuel Coy, three grandsons, and her sister. She is survived by two daughters Barbara (Jim) Barber and Linda (Ron) Rutledge, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. A celebration of her long, productive life will be held on October 31, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Valley Unitarian-Universalist Church at 6400 E. Del Rio Rd., Chandler, Arizona. Arrangements by Greer Wilson Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Prostate Onsite Project, 525 W. Southern, Ste. 102, Mesa, Az, , Interfaith Christian Ministries at P.O. Box 2225, Phoenix, Arizona, or the VUU Church Endowment Fund.
