Daffern, Marjorie Ruth
Marjorie Ruth Daffern Wagenaar Bruining, July 28th, 1925- November 14th, 2015. Marge was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Phoenix in 1955. She enjoyed her family and her work as a nurse in Scottsdale, AZ. She was very involved with her church and made lifelong friends at Longview Reformed Church. In 1972, she married Bruce Daffern and moved to Sacramento CA. She loved being close to her sister, Dorothy, and brother-in-law, Rev. Richard Evers. She worked for a doctor in Sacramento and was involved in Rev. Evers' churches there. After retirement, she and Bruce moved back to Phoenix to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She loved being with her family, traveling, and attending the Chandler Symphony. Family and friends will miss her love, wisdom, and humor dearly. Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Bruining, and her son, Robert Bruining. She is survived by Bruce, her loving husband of 43 years; sister, Dorothy Evers; daughters, Patricia Bruining Arrigan and Nancy Bruining Kapp; son-in-law, Don Kapp; and daughter-in-law, Kathy Aleman. Her legacy will live on through her four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Gloria Dei Luthern Church, 3539 E. Standford Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253.
