Marvin Harmon Obituary
Harmon, Marvin
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, mentor and terrific friend, passed away peacefully at age 94 on November 6, 2013. Marvin was pre-deceased by his loving bride of 68 years, Hazel. He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Kohl (Mike) and son, Darrell Harmon, plus 4 grandchildren, Cassandra Wagonseller (Paul), Lisa Suttell (Joe), Eric Harmon (Kara) and Steve Kohl (Dana), and 9 great grandchildren. Marvin was a World War 2 veteran (part of Normandy invasion) and farmed in North Dakota until moving to Arizona in 1968 where he managed apartment complexes with Hazel until his retirement in 1983. He loved to play golf, read biographies of famous people (providing they were Democrats), and toured the country several times in his motor home with Hazel. Never short of opinions (or sharing them), he was an incredible conversationalist, continually made new "best friends" everywhere he went, and will be very much missed by everyone who knew him. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 11 at 1:00 PM at La Casa de Cristo Church at 6300 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85254. Memorial donations can be made to La Casa de Cristo Church (Memorial Fund).
