Mary Arline Wiegers, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on August 17, 2015 in her home in Scottsdale, AZ. She was surrounded by her family and is survived by her husband Rolland, 3 children Kenneth, Jeffrey and Julie, 6 grandchildren Brett, Nicholas, Kiley, Jessica, Douglas and Dalton and 2 great grandchildren Samantha and Keaton. Mary was born in LaCompte, Louisiana on September 20, 1932 to parents Newton and Ora Guy. She had 3 sisters Faye, Libby and Leigh, and one brother Rand. Faye and Rand preceded Mary in death. After graduating high school in Bunke, LA, Mary worked at Alexander Air Force base in 1951 where she met Rolland Wiegers who was serving in the Air Force. They were married in 1953 and moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where three children, Ken, Terri Lynn and Jeff were born. Terri Lynn died as an infant. In 1958 they moved to Phoenix where their 4th child was born in 1960. The family moved to Scottsdale in 1968 where they reside today. Mary was a loving mother and very proud of her children. Mary volunteered her time at Valley of the Sun and Florence Crittenton Auxillaries and was a member of Chaparral Christian Church. She loved music and dancing and was a wonderful mother and wife of 62 years. Mary was laid to rest on Thursday, August 20th. The family held a small service at Hansen Desert Hills Memorial Park in Scottsdale and entombment at Paradise Memorial Gardens. Mary will be missed dearly.
