Clark, Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Borchers
passed away in Peoria, Arizona on May 1, 2012 at the age of 79. She was born on February 19, 1933 in Springfield, Ohio where she lived until her marriage to Msgt. Wilbur L. "Bud" Clark in 1954. As the wife of a career military man, she realized her dream of living and traveling throughout the United States and Europe, settling in Tempe, Arizona in 1968. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1951 and later attended both Mesa Community College and University of Phoenix where she obtained her Masters Degree in 1987. In addition to being an Air Force Wife, Mary also served the Air Force with pride and loyalty as a civilian employee. She began in
1954 when she was selected for a position at Wright Patterson AFB and continued to serve at the various military bases Bud was assigned to, continuing to serve after Bud's death in 1984, finally retiring in 1993. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Wilbur L. "Bud" Clark, parents: Rupert F and Elizabeth M. Borchers; brothers Roger, Alyn and William and sisters Rosetta and Winona. She is survived by her four children Maryanne (Mike), Susan, Michael and David (Carol), three grandchildren, Melanie, Brian and Megan , 11 nieces and nephews and their families and many friends both new and old. Visitation and Rosary will be held at Carr-Tenney Mortuary 2621 S. Rural Rd., Monday May 7, 2012 from 6:00 - 9:00. Funeral Services to be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 9:30 with Interment following at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
