Mary Lou Scheller Obituary
Scheller, Mary Lou
Mary Lou Scheller was called to heaven on September 18, 2016. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mary Lou was a vibrant woman, always full of life. Never wanting for anything, always giving of herself and only finding the best qualities in others, Mary Lou lived her life true to her strong Catholic faith. She married Robert Scheller in 1959 and together they had four girls: Sharon, Mary Sue, Debey and Ginnie. In 1974, they relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. Mary Lou began work as a Teacher's Aide for the Paradise Valley School District in 1978, where she helped hundreds of students throughout her 20-year career. She was also very active in the St. Joseph's Catholic Church community and the Paradise Valley softball league, both as a coach and player. Her talents were numerous (athlete, musician, singer, tailor, teacher, coach, to name a few) and her heart overflowed with love and joy. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Rose Mary and Della Mae. She is survived by her husband, daughters, brothers (Bill and John), and seven grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 11001 N. 40th Street, Phoenix, AZ. Graveside service will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 23015 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ.
