Cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, Nicholas John Harbaugh, passed from this life on Monday, October 10, 2016. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 15 at 2:00 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following at 3:00 p.m. Both will be held at Bear Creek Springs Baptist Church in Harrison, Arkansas. Dr. James Bryant will officiate. A memorial service is planned for the Phoenix, AZ area at a later date. Born on May 14, 1978, in St. Charles, Missouri, Nicholas spent his early years in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and moved with his family to the Phoenix, Arizona, area in 1990. He graduated from Corona del Sol High School in 1996. Nick discovered his lifelong love of cooking at his first job, Finelli's Italian Restaurant, where he worked for ten years. He went on to graduate with a culinary arts degree from Scottsdale Community College. He later changed careers and graduated from Northern Arkansas College with a degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. Most recently he resided in Gravette, Arkansas, where he enjoyed working alongside his valued coworkers as a Medical Laboratory Technician, ASCP at OCH Gravette Hospital. Nick loved to play golf and was an active member of TKE at Arizona State University as part of an amateur golf team. He was passionate about travel, and as an avid professional soccer fan attended two world cups. Nick's wry sense of humor was his trademark, and he was beloved for it. Nicholas was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William Riley Edwards, John Albert Harbaugh, Sr., and his grandmother, Maysel Pearl Wilson Harbaugh. Nick is survived by his mother, Connie Marie Edwards Harbaugh; father, John Albert Harbaugh, Jr.; step-mother, Marilyn Jenkins Harbaugh; sister, Amy Marie Harbaugh Despain; grandmother, Maxine Crawford Edwards, and his nieces, Brieanna Marie Wood, Ellie Kay Wood, Phebe Jon Wood, and Emmalea Ruth Despain. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the , P.O. Box 841125, Dallas, TX 75284-1125.
