82, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away January 1, 2016. Norma was born November 10, 1933 in Hays, Kansas. She was a graduate of Victoria Kansas High School, Fort Hays Kansas University, post-graduate degree from Arizona State University, Reading Specialist and E.S.L. credentials from University of Phoenix. She moved to Phoenix in 1962. Norma was employed as a classroom teacher in the Madison School District until her retirement in 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Ida Goetz from Victoria, Kansas. Survivors include her daughter Mary Tunberg, Chandler, AZ; son Richard S. (Susan), Mission Viejo, CA; and four grandchildren Karl, Maggie, Michael and Katie; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Mass will be at 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 8620 N. 7th Street, Phoenix 85020, followed by inurnment at Hansen Desert Hills Memorial Park, 6500 E.
