86, Sun City West, AZ went to his heavenly home on May 26, 2016, where he will be rejoining his beloved wife, Elaine (Romanowski), of 49 blissful years of marriage. He is survived by their three children: Neil (Maureen), Daryl (Mardel) and Darlene (Bob) Karwacky and four grandchildren: Derek, Natalie & Claire Warren and Jared Karwacky. Cherished brother of Irene (Zaharchuk) & late brother-in-law Vito Termini. Beloved uncle of Marietta (Frank) Cesario & Dominic (Michelle) Termini. He was preceded in death by sister-in-law Collette (Romanowski) & brother-in-law Chester Bryk. Born Alexander Zaharchuk on February 17, 1930, in Chicago, IL to Albert and Mary Zaharchuk. He was a graduate of Wells High School in Chicago. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War achieving the rank of Airman First Class. Upon returning from the service, Paul graduated from Roosevelt University, Chicago, IL with a B.S. in Business Administration; major in finance and minor in economics. After an illustrious career in various accounting and finance positions, Paul retired from E&ES in Chicago in 1995. After raising their family in Palatine, IL for 33 years, Paul & Elaine retired to Sun City West, AZ in 1998, to enjoy the sunshine and blue skies of Arizona. They were actively involved in numerous clubs and members at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Above all else, Paul was a family man. A beloved husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed traveling, hiking, biking, sports, reading and, of course, conversations with anyone. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, from 5-7 PM at Camino del Sol Chapel, 13738 Camino del Sol, Sun City West, AZ. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 3 at 10 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 14818 W. Deer Valley Drive, Sun City West, AZ. Internment is at Camino del Sol Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's honor to Prince of Peace Catholic Church or to . Visit caminodelsol.com to send condolences to the family.
