Phyllis M. Drown Obituary
Drown, Phyllis M.
has "Gone Away With a Friend" on October 13, 2015. She was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1931 and relocated to Phoenix, Arizona in 1945. She graduated from North Phoenix High School in 1949 and returned to Columbus, Ohio, where she lived a full and meaningful life. She raised four children of whom she was very proud. She was an exceptional gardener, an avid reader, a costume seamstress and dresser for the Columbus Opera, and a crossword puzzle enthusiast. She retired as an executive secretary and relocated to Casa Grande, Arizona in 1993. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Drown, retired Colonel of the Columbus Police Department. She is survived by her children; Carolyn Drown (Dianne Cravens), Steven Drown (Jeanne), Patricia Drown Ellison (John), and Gary Drown (Susie), three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Phyllis was a kind, generous and intelligent woman with a very good sense of humor who said "I thoroughly enjoyed my wonderful life by doing it my way". She wanted everyone to know that she has "no regrets" and that she will be waiting for us "on the other side". There will be a family service in Columbus, Ohio at a later date. Our family wishes to extend a warm and grateful thank you to the special angels from Harmony Hospice, for the loving care given to Mother in her time of need.
