Maneri, Remo R.
86, a former resident of Midland, MI passed away on August 28, 2014. He was born August 16, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Quinto and Lucia (Massenzi) Maneri.

On August 26, 1950 he married Camille A. Caranna. Remo served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He attended M.I.T. and graduated with a Bachelor Degree from Case Western in chemical engineering. Remo and his wife moved to Midland in 1950 where he began his employment with Dow Corning. He earned his MBA from Harvard University and at the time of his retirement as an executive for Dow Corning, he had been recognized for his many achievements in silicone product development. Remo served on several board of directors, including Dow Corning, Midland Hospital, Comerica Bank, Duralast, and also as CEO of Quantum Composites. He supported his community through his active involvement; among the many were Junior Achievement and Boy Scouts.

Surviving in addition to his wife Camille of Scottsdale, AZ, are his children Alisa Maneri of Honolulu, HI, Leonard (Elaine) Maneri of Seattle, WA, Celia (Steve Godsey) Maneri of Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren Michele, Louise, Angelena and Gino Maneri. He was preceded in death by his son Peter Maneri. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
