Richard C. Wall

1934 - 2016 Obituary Condolences
Wall, Richard C. "Dick" #82
March 4, 1934 - March 5, 2016, Born in Indiana, an only child he moved with his parents to Phoenix in 1948. Dick graduated in 1952 from Phoenix Technical High School. He joined the Marines in 1953 and served 3 years. Hired by Arizona Highway Patrol in July 1956 and retired in 2002. Dick married Patricia Ann Wall in 1958, he is survived by his wife Pat Wall and brother-in-law Ralph Albright who is also a Marine. Charlie Ruiz #1267 has been helping Dick and Pat during the past months and he related to me that his brother Joe, who was in the Army in WWII, then went into the Marine Crops and he and Dick Wall were in Basic Training together in 1954. They formed a bond, as Marines do, and stayed in touch over the years, even though Joe was 10 years older than Dick. Charlie was also a Vietnam era Marine. When Charlie last saw Dick the other day, Dick reached out for Charlie's hand. He was very weak and could just barely talk. His last words to Charlie were "SEMPER FI". Both Patricia and Ralph, now in Surprise AZ. Dick and Pat are long time members of the Coalition of DPS Retirees since before 2002 and The Eastern Star and Shriners. Pat and Dick not having any children of their own loved all children. Rest in Peace Marine! You served your country well and as an Arizona Highway Patrol and Department of Public Safety Officer you served the citizens of the State of Arizona for over 40+ years. No Services are Planned. Semper Fi Marines
