Rita K. Hoppe Obituary
Hoppe, Rita K.
began life 92 years ago in Madison, WI, the first daughter of Renny and Ida Roloff. After completing two years at the University of Wisonsin, Madison, she moved to Arizona for the love of horses and all things Western. In fact, Rita met her future husband, Ted, at a stable. Throughout the years of raising their children, Rita worked as an escrow officer. Her major focus, however, was always on her family. Rita lived an active life, enjoying horses, hiking, gardening and travelling. Rita also loved to read and excelled at the piano. Most especially, Rita was intensely religious, and remained actively involved in her church throughout her life - she was proud of her work at St. Vincent de Paul and as librarian at All Saints. Rita Hoppe is predeceased by her husband, her sister Ruth and her brother Keith (Father Ronald). Rita is survived by her three children (Kathleen, Ken and Renny-wife Janet), five grandchildren (Scott and April, Kelly, and Jaren and Nolan), and one great-grandchild (Aurora). In addition, Rita has numerous in-laws, nephews and nieces spread throughout the Western states. Always, and especially in her final days, Rita loved poetry...."To see a world in a grain of sand, And a heaven in a wild flower; Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, And eternity in an hour." Visitation will be held at Mariposa Gardens Mortuary in Mesa on Friday April 1st from 5 to 7pm with the Rosary at 7. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday April 2nd at 10am at All Saints Catholic church in Mesa, AZ. Graveside services will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Phoenix.
