92, of Phoenix passed away on March 1, 2014. Robert "Red" Cross was born in Tucson, AZ on 10-16-21 to John Marion and Ellen Ardell Cross. He served in the Air Force as a pilot in WW2 and continued in the Air Force Reserves obtaining the rank of Lt. Colonel. Many of his years were spent in Ajo, AZ where he was a heavy equipment operator, loading copper ore into trains in the open pit mine. He was a kind and generous man, always devoting his time and resources to his friends and family. He leaves behind his daughter, Sandy Culshaw, his son-in-law Lance, and his two grandsons, Eric and Chad Culshaw. He was preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters, his wife of 43 years, Freida, his wife Dorothy, and his final companion, Burtie Jedlicka. Services will be private
