Rowan, Robert G.
Was reunited with his loving wife, Grace, on October 16, 2013 when he quietly passed away. Grace preceded her husband of more than 60 years just a short six months prior. Bob was born January 2, 1929 to Roy and Gladys Rowan of Youngstown Ohio. He had one brother, Roy Rowan, Jr. Bob leaves behind daughter Janet and husband Chris Koeller; daughter Patti and husband Bruce Draper; grandson Adam and wife Kassidy Follrath; and great grandchildren Levi Gregory and Kamryn Grace. Bob was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army and trained as a paratrooper. Bob was a lifetime member of the VFW as well as a member of the local American Legion. He took great pride in his service to the United States of America. Bob retired as an engineer from the steel industry to go on to a part-time job at the AZ Diamondbacks stadium when it first opened. When he wasn't on the golf course, Bob loved to spend time with friends and watching baseball. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Lifestream at Sun Ridge, Surprise AZ for their compassionate and dedicated care. We would also like to thank for providing great support and kindness in Bob's final days. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 19002 N 128th Ave., Sun City West, AZ 85375. Inurnment will follow that same day at 12:30 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to , 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014
