He grew up in Toledo, and met his wife of 61 years there. He received his undergraduate degree from Toledo University, then served in the U.S. Army 45th Armored Medical Battalion for two years. Following this he attended dental school and received his dental degree from Ohio State University. Soon after finishing dental school, Dr. Teague began his legacy of Family Practice Dentistry in Tempe, AZ, where he continued to practice for over 40 years. During that time, he also served as the Team Dentist for the Arizona Cardinals for 10 years, and received the "Best Dentist in America Award" for 2004-2005. He was active in numerous community groups including Kiwanis International, Boy Scouts of America, Tempe Library Board, Tempe Sister City, Tempe Diplomats and the McClintock High School Key Club where he served as a sponsor for 15 years.
