Harrington, Ronald "Ron"
80, of Cottonwood, AZ passed away on December 3, 2015. Ronald "Ron" Harrington was born in Detroit, MI on September 30, 1935 to Thomas and Ila Harrington. He began dancing and singing at the age of 6 with USO shows with his brothers Patrick and Gerard. He was also involved in Theater, Radio, and Television programs in the Detroit area In 1958, he married Margaret Kenes and had 8 children. He raised his family in Scottsdale, AZ and later retired to the Verde Valley area. He made his living as a tap dance instructor, an entertainer, an artist and a salesman throughout the years. He received a heart transplant in 1996, allowing him to continue entertaining with the Sedona Showstoppers and Grannies on the Rocks and the Sugar Daddies. He performed mostly in the AZ area but also as far away as Branson, MO. He was Mr. Senior Citizen Las Vegas 2009. He loved to make people laugh. He now is with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Ron is preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Margaret and his daughter Mary Christine. He is survived by his children, Colleen Harrington, Laura Harrington Demson, Robert Harrington, Barbara Gresser, Shawn Harrington, Holly Harrington, Danny Harrington and their spouses. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren: Christian, Tiffany, Adam, Courtney Lee, River, Rain, Wesley, Elizabeth/Elijah (unborn), Jacob, Jenna, Dakota, Nathan, Lily, Jackson, and Evan as well as grandchildren: Chaiya, Carsten, Ryder, Caylin, Teagan, and Grayson.
