Henrichsen, Ronald Sr.
October 21, 1931 - January 30, 2016. Ronald was a Korean War Veteran, Sergeant First Class and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a Master Plumber and owner of Heights Certified Plumbing in Illinois. He moved to Arizona in 1969 and established Courtesy Plumbing Inc. Ron established the Arizona chapter and trade school of the Arizona Plumbing Heating& Cooling Contractors. All three of his sons and foreman completed the four year training course. Ron was on the State Board of P.H.C.C. Association and past board member of the Metro Phoenix P.H.C.C. He also served on the board of the State Plumbing Code Commission for three years. He has been married for 62 years with 6 children, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He has given a great deal of love, time, and effort to his family, the plumbing industry, as well as the community. For this he was honored with the first "Man of The Year" award by the Arizona Plumbing Cooling Heating Contractors Association. Ron was also recently awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication to the PHCC and Plumbing trade. He established and was the first president of the Starlight Pines HOA in Northern Arizona and he contracted both the fire house and community building. Ron's legacy lives on through his loving wife Claudia; his children: Ronda Henrichsen, Laura Ann Kenyon, Rodney Ronald Henrichsen, Holly Lynn Renner, Ronald Edward Henrichsen Jr.,and Russell Raymond Henrichsen; his grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister Susan Harrington and his brother Edward Henrichsen. A 10 am Funeral Service will be held in Ron's honor on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Heritage Funeral Chapel 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd. Peoria, AZ 85381. A 930 am Committal Service will be held at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85024 on Monday, February 8, 2016. Ron's family requests donations be made in his honor to Metro Phoenix PHCC of Arizona P.O. Box 5902 Glendale, AZ 85312-5902.
