1923 - 2016 Obituary Condolences
Wehe, Ruth Arvin
Born on August 12, 1923 to Lester and Hazel Arvin in Springfield, IL. Passed on to eternal rest on June 14, 2016 in Scottsdale, AZ. Married to James Wehe in 1946, Ruth raised 4 children (Thomas Wehe, Philip Wehe, Kathy Fulton and Jame Wehe) and was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Ruth was a woman ahead of her time, proudly serving her country as a Navy Wave, where she was a Link Instrument Trainer and also became a master welder. She was a scout leader, seamstress, quilter, upholsterer, artist, golfer and nationwide balloon chaser. Ruth sang with the Sweet Adelines and, in her later years, loved to play bingo. She volunteered at Chapter 22 for over 28 years, serving as its commander on three different occasions. Ruth traveled across the country alone many times to see family and friends, collecting dolls and depression ware along the way. A celebration of her life will be held on November 11, 2016 at 9am at National Memorial Cemetery in Cave Creek. A reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Chapter 22 - 1510 N. 79th St., Scottsdale 85257
