Sandy Zenda Obituary
Zenda, Sandy
passed away peacefully at age 65, on January 25, 2016. She was a quiet, brave, strong Wiccan warrior, who lost her five-year courageous battle with cancer. Sandy was a beloved wife of 32 years, best friend, and stoic rock for her husband Joe, whom she married on July 14, 1984. Sandy was also a loving mother, grandmother, and terrific friend, who demonstrated unrelenting patience and integrity. She was born on March 12, 1950, in Deming, New Mexico, to Jimmy Hubert Sander and Grace Rinderknecht. Her career was in bookkeeping and accounting while in Las Vegas. Sandy and Joe moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, in 1990, where they resided for the past 26 years. She was lovingly known to her family and friends as a gracious hostess, never failing to open her heart and home to others. She was passionate in her creative endeavors of crocheting, her involvement in social media, was an avid fan of Janis Joplin, and enjoyed political satire. Sandy was a significant supporter of her grandchildren's activities and valued their time together immensely. Sandy is survived by her husband, Joe, and pet bird Quakerita, his children Charlotte (Tom) Seehafer of Henderson, NV, and Joe II (Starla) Zenda of Las Vegas, NV, grandchildren Justin, Jenna, and Jamie Seehafer of Henderson, NV, and Vincent, Cecilia, and Darwin Campiglia of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by her brothers, Danny of Texas and Donald of Colorado. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother David. Please join us for a celebration of life on Saturday, January 30, 2016, from 10am to noon at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary, 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85255.
