Scott Allen Chittester Obituary
Chittester, Scott Allen
Scott passed away in his home on Thursday morning, June 30, 2016. He was 68 years old. Scott was the oldest son of Sybil and Richard Chittester and the older brother of Jeff, Ric and Keenan. He was well-loved and respected by his family and friends. Scott was born in Dubois, Pennsylvania and moved to Phoenix with his family in 1966. He served in the U.S. Air Force which included a year serving in Vietnam during the war. Scott loved fishing and spent most of his life working in the sporting goods retail business. He formed many long lasting relationships with those who shared his love of fishing. His relaxed personality made him easy to talk to and he earned the loyalty of many of his customers. When his parents became elderly, and his mother began struggling with Alzheimer's Disease, Scott moved in with, and cared for, them for many years until they passed. He selflessly helped them through many difficult times and was an incredible blessing to them both. Scott will be dearly missed but remembered fondly by all those whose lives he touched. Graveside Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, July 11, 2016 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek, Phoenix 85024.
