Duane, Shelley A.
Shelley Ann Duane of Paradise Valley Arizona passed away peacefully on June 25, 2016, surrounded by loved ones after a short battle with cancer. Survived by her sons Terry (Jane Privateer), Steve (Marcia), and Brad Jendersee, grandchildren Nathan Jendersee (Laura), Andy Techmeier, Kate Jendersee, Brenden Jendersee, Tyler Jendersee (deceased) and great grandchildren Jasmine Jendersee and Ava Jendersee, along with seven siblings. Born July 26th, 1940, in Minneapolis, MS, she moved to Rochester, Minnesota and married her high school sweetheart, Don Jendersee. While raising her family, she studied and graduated with a Masters of Psychology at Winona State University. She began her career as a Staff Psychologist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Divorced from Don, Shelley met and married Dr. Drake Duane. The couple moved to Scottsdale, Arizona where they both started private practices. Divorced after 20 years of marriage, she remained single. Shelley was on the board of the O'Connor House and a former board member of the Barrow Neurological Foundation. She was also a member of the Charter 100 Club, Arizona Foundation for Women and ASU's President Club. She was an avid interior designer and founded Revelations Interiors, as an expression of her vision. Shelley was deeply devoted to her family, loved to travel and lived her life with beauty, elegance and grace. She will be sorely missed. A Celebration of Life service will be held in Oct. 23rd at the Paradise Valley Country Club. Details forthcoming.
