Goodfarb, Stanley Z.
age 85, after struggling with complications of Alzheimer's disease passed away peacefully at his home on January 10th. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving husband, father and advisor. He grew up in Tucson, AZ where he attended Tucson High School and continued his education at the University of Arizona College of Law graduating cum laud. He served two years in JAG at Fort Huachuca. He worked as an assistant attorney general for the Arizona Department of Transportation and was appointed a Maricopa County Superior Court Judge in 1976. He served on the bench for 18 years before retiring and enjoying a life of peaceful fishing in the White Mountains with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife Barbara, his brother Jay, his three children Joanna Liebler (Randy), Nicole and Toby (Christine) and four grandchildren, Paula, Pierce, Garrett and Brett. He often stated that he was very grateful for his education from the U of A. In his retirement, he was a member of the selection committee for the Charles H. Smith Memorial Scholarship for upcoming law students. To honor his memory, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the University of Arizona College of Law to the Chester H.
