Penney, Stephen H.
52, Neosho, entered into rest on April 28, 2013 at his home following an illness. He was born on September 4, 1960 in Phoenix, AZ. Stephen lived most of his life in Arizona until moving to Neosho in July of 2012. He worked as a Fireman Deputy Chief and a Paramedic at the Fire District of Sun City West, AZ. He was a biblical teacher and student. Stephen loved animals and was an outdoorsman who enjoyed off-roading. He was a mentor to many. He was a Bears fan, loved Batman, and played the steel guitar. Stephen married Deyon Clark Penney on April 16, 1994 in Tolleson, AZ and she survives. He is also survived by his sons; Mitchel Penney of Phoenix, AZ, Kohl Penney of Neosho, MO; godson; Samuel Hartman of Phoenix, AZ; brother; Matthew Penney of AZ; sister; Jackie Lane of Riverton, WY. He also leaves behind his Fire family. Stephen is preceded in death by his parents; Rev. Herbert and Irene Penney; brothers-in-law; Charles Darin Clark and Robert Kent Clark. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Clark Funeral Home, Chapel of Memories Neosho. Interment will be in Gibson Cemetery Neosho, MO. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 pm Friday, May 3, 2013 at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. The family will hold a memorial service in Phoenix, AZ to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Stephen's memory may be made to the Stephen H. Penney Education Fund for his sons' educations.
