Stuart Closson Obituary
71, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on December 17, 2011. He was born in Mattoon, IL, the son of Lester Lee and Lucille Eastin Closson. He married Marilyn J. Born on Aug. 24, 1968, in Las Vegas, NV. Mr. Closson graduated from Mattoon HS in 1958. He served in the US Army from 1958-1961. He retired from Rainbow Baking Co after 30 yrs of driving semi transports. Mr. Closson was a long-time member of the Teamsters Union and the American Legion. He was a life long member of the Roy Rogers Rider Club and the Order of DeMolay. A few of his special interests were coaching Little League baseball, leading Boy Scouts, target shooting, backpacking, coin collecting, photography, cooking and collecting Roy Rogers memorabilia. Survivors include his wife of 43 years Marilyn Closson in Phx; his mother Lucille Closson and sister Janet Webner in Bethany, IL; a son Stuart "Riley", in Phx; grandsons Ryan Closson in Kingman, Az; and Spc. Matthew Closson, and Great granddaughter Leia at Ft. Bragg, NC; granddaughter Nicole Fisher in Kingman, Az; nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at a later time with his family. Memorials may be made to the Happy Trails Children's Foundation, Cooper Home, 10755 Apple Valley Rd, Apple Valley Ca, 92308

Stuart will be remembered by his MHS classmates as a wonderful, kind, human being.....and as we met at the reunions during the past years he seemed to enjoy life so much. We shared Roy Rogers stories at one of the last reunions...my little sister was also an avid fan and collector of memorabillia. My heart goes out to all of his family. Janice Kidwell Bernardini
