Moffitt, Theodore "Ted" L.
88, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on December 4, 2015. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in the South Pacific during World War II and an Elks Club member. Ted was an avid fisherman and a retiree of Honeywell, formerly Allied-Signal & Garrett AirResearch. In earlier years, Ted enjoyed trials motorcycle competition and was a founding member and first President of the Feet-Up Motorcycle Club, later known as Central Arizona Trials. He also enjoyed membership in the Phoenix Model Airplane Club. Ted's wife Opal predeceased him. He is survived by his son Lee (wife Pat), daughter Tina Foy (husband Tom), granddaughters Christine Foy and Ashley McMurtry, and great-grandchildren Tristan Randolph and Zoe McMurtry. Ted (and wife Opal) will be inurned at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. The date and time of the committal service will be determined later. Arrangements have been made with The Neptune Society. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Banner Alzheimer's Institute (banneralz.org) or the . Rest in peace Ted, you will be sorely missed.
