Tom Sullivan Obituary

Sullivan, Tom E.
78, of Merrill Gardens, Mesa, Arizona passed away on July 14, 2010 at Citadel Care Center in Mesa. Tom will be remembered by his friends and family for his kindness, generosity, and irrepressible Irish sense of humor. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of John L. and Blanche M. Sullivan. He graduated from Walkerton (Ind) High School and served with the U.S. Army in France during the Korean War. He worked for Citizens Gas & Coke Utility in Indianapolis for 34 years, retiring as Transport ation Supervisor. His sense of adventure took him from Indiana to Colorado and Alaska before coming to Arizona. He lived in the Chandler-Mesa area for the past 16 years, where he was a member of the Phoenix Metro Bicycle Club and the Knights of Columbus in Chandler and more recently a resident of Merrill Gardens. He is survived by his former wife, Patricia E. Sullivan of Indianapolis; their five children Paul David, Elaine Marie and Michael Jerome, all of Indianapolis, Kevin Joseph of Nashville, Ind, and Steven Lee of Guadalajara, Mexico;
fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jack and Harry. Entombment will be at Flor al Park Cemetery in Indianapolis after private services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to
the American Diabetes Foundation.
