Grothouse, Vincent E.
86, passed away February 8, 2013 after a short battle with cancer. Vincent was born in Hammond, Indiana and raised in Whiting, Indian. He moved to Phoenix in 1955. After high school, he served in the Army Air Corps in World War II. Vincent was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He later became a barber before moving to Phoenix. He was well known by many customers who came to his barber shop at 27th Avenue and Bethany Home Road where on any day there was much discussion, laughter, lies and tall stories. He was preceded in death by his son James and he leaves his much beloved wife, Jenene. He is survived by his wife, his daughter Mary Jo, his grandson Bobby, his great granddaughter Hayven and his siblings, Arthur, Phyllis (Godfrey), Greg, Paul and Eileen (Reynolds). Go quietly into the night, dear brother, you will be missed, you were loved. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 13th at 1:00pm at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery of AZ 23029 N Cave Creek Road.
