Warren, Wayne Anthony
was born on November 2, 1951 in Phoenix, Arizona at St. Joseph's Hospital. His father, Dr. Morrison F. Warren, originally from Marlin, Texas was the son of Fred Hubbard Warren and Lola Bell Fulbright, both from Marlin, Texas. His mother, Margaret Warren, originally from Douglas, Arizona was the daughter of Elliott Mosley of Greenwood, South Carolina and Ramona Padilla of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Wayne graduated from Percy L. Julian Elementary School where he was an honor student, actively involved in student affairs and athletics. Wayne was an outstanding football and basketball player at South Mountain High School. He graduated from South Mountain High School in 1969 with Highest Distinction. Upon graduation, Wayne matriculated to Phoenix College on a football- academic scholarship. At Phoenix College, he started and lettered for two years. Wayne then moved on to Arizona State University where he graduated with a B.A. Degree in Political Science and Secondary Education. Wayne worked 25 years primarily in corporate banking at Valley National Bank and Bank of America. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn. He is survived by his loving siblings, Morrison, Dwight , Howard, Marilyn, Kevin. Aunt Bertha & Uncle Sam, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Wayne passed away on October 8, 2016 in Dallas, TX. His memorial service will be held this Saturday, November 5, 10:00am at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 1401 E. Jefferson St., Phoenix, AZ. Wayne's non-judgmental, kind spirit will be greatly missed by many.
