Willa Orr "Billie" Hart Obituary
Hart, Willa "Billie" Orr
91, of Sun City passed away on August 17, 2016. Billie passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at her home in Sun City. She was the widow of Vincent Hart who predeceased her in 2007. They shared 30 years of marriage together. Born at Akron City Hospital, Billie was the daughter of John Emmitt Orr, former Mayor of Tallmadge, Ohio, and Rosarah Thomas. She graduated from Tallmadge High School where she was a cheerleader, and always reminisced fondly about the farmhouse where she grew up, which still stands today on North Avenue in Tallmadge. Billie was active as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and Water Safety Instructor in and around her hometown before moving to Sun City, Arizona. She had a lifelong love of gardening and loved to dance. She couldn't resist a few shimmies in her hospital bed when we played big band music for her just days before she passed. She will always be remembered for her energy, her smile, and unwavering positivity. We will never forget her favorite sayings later in life. Her motto was "Make it fun!" She liked to say "Just keep moving", "It is what it is" and "Whatever!" We will miss her dearly. Billie is survived by her sisters Margaret Orr (Herbert) Bumpas of Tallmadge, Ohio and Susan Orr (Donald) Schwarz of Sherman Oaks, California, her daughters Sandra Haines of Peoria, Arizona and Judith Langreder of Sun City, Arizona, her son Michael Shuman of Tallmadge, Ohio and her beloved nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers John (Pauline) Orr of Bradenton, Florida and Thomas (Florence) Orr of Santa Monica, California, her daughter Kathleen Addy of Woodland Park, Colorado, and her grandson David Shuman (Caprice) of Tallmadge, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on behalf of one of her favorite activities, the Sun City Garden Club. The funds will support a new Community Garden for Sun City residents to enjoy. Donations can be sent to Phyllis Davis Attn: Sun City Community Garden, 9913 W Kingswood Circle, Sun City, AZ 85351.
