William Don Cline, 74, Lee's Summit, Mo, passed away April 25, 2016, at home surrounded by his wife Georgia who was his caregiver, family and friends after a long battle with ALS. Don Cline was born June 6, 1941, in Phoenix, AZ, and graduated from Arizona State University with a B. A. degree in Economics. Throughout his working career he was a small business owner in Phoenix and he worked in the Telecommunications industry which took him from Phoenix to Denver, Sacramento, and the Kansas City area. Not long after relocating with Sprint to Kansas City, he met and married Georgia Cline of Lee's Summit, Mo in Littleton, CO, in 1992. He retired from Sprint in December 2001. Both Don and his wife spent their retirement years at Lake of the Ozarks enjoying their favorite activities: fishing, boating, working at their church, traveling, and spending precious time with family and friends. Don had a Cross Ministry from late 2013 to April of 2015, making over 1,000 handmade wooden Christian crosses and donating them to two churches at the Lake for first-time visitors. Don was preceded in death by his parents William Don Cline and Edna Cline of Phoenix; his sister Nancy Brown of ID. He is survived by his wife Georgia Cline of Lee's Summit; sons William Don Cline III of Phoenix, Mitchell Cline of UT; step daughters Carol Roderick and Sherri Brewer, both of Lee's Summit; sister Diane Moody of AZ, brother Ed Cline of CA; grandchildren Lauren and Colin Roderick of Lee's Summit; Andrea Brizza and Alexander Cline of AZ; Makencie Cline, Mitchell Cline Jr, and the twins Jessica and Lindsey Cline of UT. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 30, at The Summit Church 114 SE Douglas, Lee's Summit, Mo 64063.
