Fry, William R.
82, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17th, 2013. A devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he started his life on November 6th, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA. A proud son of immigrants he grew up in Collingswood, NJ. He served his country with honor in the Army as a combat medic in the Korean War. Following his military service he attended Temple University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics as a member of the Alpha Chi Rho honors fraternity. After graduation Bill started his career with Smith, Klein, & French (SK&F) Laboratories in Philadelphia. He worked as a psycho- pharmacologist, developing ground breaking drugs. Health issues ended his career early but provided an opportunity to start a new life when he and his family moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1978. Bill started a computer software company catering to small businesses. Several years later he retired for good. He loved flying, golf, astronomy, painting, and baseball. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Grace Elaine, his three sons: Bill, Randy, and Ray, his seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. A private ceremony will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Contributions may be made to the (alz.org) in Bill's name. Arrangements entrusted to Messinger Indian School Mortuary.
