Smith, William Royal Sr.
age 67, of Phoenix, AZ, was released from his battle with cancer and was ushered into the presence of the God whom he served, to be re-united with his loving wife, on March 20, 2013. After enlisting in the United States Air Force during Vietnam War, William continued to serve with the Air Force in various duty locations. He retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. William is survived by his son, Tech Sgt. William R. Smith Jr., and other family members of his and Ruth's families. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Ruth Dixon, his father, mother and sister. William's most recent position was bus mechanic with Cartwright School District. William was an avid motorcyclist and rode with Christian Motorcyclist Association, American Legion Riders Post 29, Arrowhead Hog Chapter 33, and Bikers Against Diabetes. William "Bill" will be greatly missed by his family, friends, co-workers and fellow motorcyclists. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 6 at 10:00 A.M. at Bethany Bible Church, 6060 N. 7th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ.
