Press, Andrew Paul
Andrew Paul Press passed away on December 31, 2009. He was born on February 25, 1981 in Westminster California to Nancy Hale and Paul Press. In 1988 his parents moved to Pinetop, Arizona where Andrew was raised and graduated from Blue Ridge High School. After his graduation Andrew moved to Southern California where he dazzled many with his witty and smart sense of humor and contagious laugh. Andrew later returned to Phoenix. Andrew was a natural born artist who contributed to the local Phoenix art scene through an Arizona art collaboration project called Clockwise Collective. He loved reading all books, comics, collecting records and traveling with his wife. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, not only in person, but those who also followed him online through MetaFilter and his blog BAGEENA. Andrew is survived by his wife, soul mate and true love Tara Press, parents, grandparents: Sylvia and Gerald Press, Mary Hale, sisters: Nicole, Dorina, Patricia and brothers: Patrick, James, Elijah, Aarron and Paul. He also leaves behind nine nieces and nephews whom adored him to no end. A visitation will be held 6-8 PM on Friday, Jan 8 at the Del Rio LDS Building, 1881 E. Del Rio Dr., Tempe, AZ. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Sat Jan 9 also at the church with visitation 1 hour prior. Bueler Mortuary

Andrew and I were friends for many years and made countless memories together. He was a genuine person with a pure heart. His personality, friendship, and sense of humor were priceless. Andrew's artistic abilities and creativity were amazing and will not soon be forgotten.

With his passing I feel a deep sense of sorrow and loss. I know that all people who were lucky enough to have known him share in this.

Andrew, you will be missed forever! I love you!

I knew Andrew through Tara. I know that we will be greatly missed and was loved by all that had the fortune to know him if even for a short time. I have come to realize with his passing, life is short we all must embrace the wonder and happiness life can provide and hold on to it. Thank you Andrew, we will see you soon.

I only met Andrew one time, at his wedding. Even though I was not fortunate enough to spend time with Andrew and Tara, I was able to witness a very beautiful romance and love bloom between them. I was so ecstatic for Tara. Every day she would write a msg about how wonderful her husband was on FB- she was so in love and so grateful for the life she shared with Andrew. It was truly beautiful and a really amazing relationship... His art was beautiful, so much so that you could see the love he had for Tara purely by looking at a portrait that he created of her. Amazing. I wish that I had gotten to spend time with them rather than just seeing Tara's FB posts. I would hope that all people get to experience a love like this... My heart hurts for Andrew's family.. Andrew was a special person that will be forever loved and missed..

Andrew was a loving husband and a terrific uncle. Our boys will truly miss game nights with their Uncle Andrew, but he has left them will tons of memories in the too short time we had him with us. Our most loving hope are with Tara at this time. We know that a loving Heavenly Father is watching over you. We love you sis.

Though I did not know Andrew that well. I meet him through his wife Tara; but one of my favorite memories of him. Is the way he danced with my daughter at his wedding. It was the cutest thing when he told her, "It's ok to stand on my shoes." I wish I had a photo of it to show, but the memory will always be in my mind. Andrew was always a gentleman to my family. I will miss you, Andrew.
