Condolences Cynthia and family and friends. I knew his wife Cynthia before they got married thru my ex-husband who worked with her. Dr. Wright was a great man who I adored and worked for as his receptionist, front office supervisor and then assistant manager to Donna. Helped him, Sam and Cynthia move out of their townhouse. He was like a father to me. I've thought of him and the family over ask these years. May you rest in peace. Love, LoriAnn Payne (Housley)

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Wright's passing but very happy to read of his amazing life. I was a friend of his daughter Sandy when I was a child. I was also an occasional patient of his during my childhood mishaps and illnesses when he had his practice in Standish, Maine. I remember the whole family fondly. I remember riding bareback on their horse and making maple syrup from their tapped trees. What a wonderful man and family!

Dear Cynthia:
I just found out about Richard. I am so sad to hear of his passing. He was the only person in my life who was a friend, a colleague, and a physician to me. I enjoyed many hours with him in different circumstances. He exemplified a pure sense of benevolence that is truly rare. I will miss him.

Dick and I first met during the summer of 1950 in Kirksville Missouri. As first year medical students at the Kirksville College of Osteopathy and Surgery we studied and socialized and over a period of the next four years we morphed into what was to become the backbone of what is now called this nations "Healthcare Delivery System".
Dick came from Mass. and I from Ca. so we reflected attidues and judgement charictoristic of our geographic origins. Dick had a strong New England accent when he spoke so there was never any doubt about his origin. What first came across as a stilted and propper "New Englander" was always quickly tempered by his sharp satyrical wit. This enabled him to become what is so essential in the succesful practice of medecine today. This combination of personal charactor traits made him truly a "people" person. All of us who were priveledged to share our lives with him are deminished by this loss. I wish I could live it all over again...I wouldnt change a thing. So long old friend.

Cynthia and family, Richard was truly a transformational person. He made everyone's life he touched so much better. I will try to honor his memory by living each day with the same zest, caring and compassion that embodied his life.
