Teri Hunter Obituary
Hunter, Teri
Teri was born in 1970 in Knoxville, Tennessee and returned home to our Heavenly Father on March 7, 2014 from Glendale, Arizona. Those who knew Teri, knew a spiritually beautiful 43 year old lady, who was rooted in faith and fiercely loyal to friends and family. Although Teri struggled with numerous medical conditions since she was 18 years old, she was known as "Teacher Teri" and followed her passion to teach English composition and literature to children at her High School Alma Mater. Teri always said that Bourgade Catholic gave her so much in life, she was grateful to be able to give back in the best way she knew - Teaching. Teri's life joys were her pets, rose garden, hunting, fishing, camping, reading, writing, and more notably her close friendships with her nieces, nephews and "the family she chose". Teri is survived by her best friend and spouse, Wayne; 2 dogs, Beau and Maya; Parents, Trish and Brad; brother John, numerous nieces and nephews, countless friends, family and students. Her presence filled a room, her smile will be missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd., Peoria 85381. A mass will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 10815 N. 35th Ave., Phoenix 85029, and the graveside service will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery 23015 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix 85024. A traditional Irish wake and celebration of life will follow the graveside service. Condolences for the family may be left by visiting www.heritagefuneralchapels.com.
