Erna Stine Obituary
Stine, Erna
Erna Hermann- Stine, 104, of Gilbert AZ, passed away peacefully on March 2nd, 2014. Erna, or Omi as she was called by her family, was a loving mother, grandma and aunt who will be deeply missed. The oldest of 3 children, she was born on January 6th, 1910, in Solms, Germany. At age 16 she moved to Buffalo, NY where her love of children paved the way for her to be a nanny. This is also where she married her first husband, Otto Guhmeinder. Together they moved to San Diego, Ca. After losing her first husband, and with her deep love of kids, she had said she would only remarry a man who had children. Destiny came when she met her 2nd husband, George Hermann Sr. who had a son, Georgie. She fell in love and her life was made. Over-time, She became a grandma of 3, a great grandma of 4, and a great-great grandma of 5. After losing her husband, she lived in San Pedro, Ca where she eventually married Bud Stine and they enjoyed 10 years together. Wanting to be closer to her family, she moved to Arizona.. She was an amazing mother-in-law, a well-loved grandma, and a joy to all who knew her. Erna was preceded in death by her sister Tilly, her brother Erwin, 3 husbands, her son George Hermann Jr., and her grandson Keith Hermann. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Charlene Hermann; Grandkids George (Jodie) Hermann, and Lisa Ornelas; Great-grandkids Lindsey, Ryan, Megan and Zachary; 5 great-great grandkids, and many nieces and nephews. Her life will be celebrated by family and friends at the family cabin. For additional information please visit; www.falconerfuneralhome.com
