76, of Chandler, Arizona passed away Saturday morning, March 15th. He was born to the late Walter and Mirley Bryant on August 19th, 1937, in Crab Orchard, KY. Following graduation from Paint Lick High School in 1956, Bill enlisted in the United State Air Force, where he served 9 years. Bill married Cecilia (Chavez) Bryant on October 18th, 1958. Bill was a semi-retired electrician. He was a passionate gardener, American history buff and an avid reader. Bill loved the outdoors, especially fishing in the Arizona lakes. As a member of the American Legion, Bill enjoyed long conversations with fellow veterans. He was known for his quick wit and his sincere willingness to help others. Bill was deeply loved by all who had the privilege to know him. He is predeceased by his parents, his daughter Barbara Miller, his brothers, Jim, Ulysis, and Edward Bryant; and his sisters, Jewel Begely and Mildred Dailey. Bill is survived by three brothers, Walter (Junior), John, and Maurice Bryant, his sister, Hester Creech; two children; Janet Ellis (Rick) and Mark Bryant, both of Chandler, Arizona; seven grand children and six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 28th at Tempe Mortuary, 405 E. Southern Avenue, Tempe, Arizona 85282. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Legion Post 91 at 922 N. Alma School Road, Chandler, AZ 85224 or to The Wounded Warrior Project at PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
