Follett, Sharon Anne
Passed peacefully on March 21st, 2014 after a long illness. She had just celebrated her 71st birthday surrounded by family. Sharon was a loving mother, wife and friend who always had a compassionate ear and heart for others. She taught her children unconditional love, how to be true to themselves and to follow their hearts. Sharon loved music and could often be heard singing or tapping her foot to a catchy tune. She shared her love of music with many young people through teaching piano for over 20 years. She was a talented seamstress, painter and crafts person, a lover of giraffes, blue glass, crossword puzzles, playing piano and hummingbirds. She loved to tell stories and laugh and was a 2nd mom to many. She had a generous heart and a loving, fun spirit and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Jack, sister Lynne Foltz (John), 3 children: Richard (Altha), Steve, (Catherine), and Patty (Eddie), 8 granddaughters: Lauren, Kate, Molly, Shannon, Abby, Olivia, Emily and Chloe and great-granddaughter Bella. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 26th at 10am at Tempe Mortuary, 405 E. Southern Ave, Tempe Az. 85282. Donations may be made to Rosie's House - A Music Academy for Children, rosieshouse.org, to continue to introduce the love of music to young people in Sharon's honor.
