Call, De Loss
De Loss Call, 94, of Phoenix, AZ passed away peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2014. Del was born December 26, 1919 in King City, MO and later moved with his family to the farm lands of Ohio. While serving in the Army in WWII and being stationed in Indiana, he met and married his wife Roselyn. In 1952 he moved his family to AZ for the health of his daughter, Rita. Del worked as a mech engr for AirResearch/Honeywell and after retirement did what he loved: building houses and restoring cars. He and his wife were among the founding members of Chaparral Christian Church where they served the Lord for many years. Del was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and his hard-working nature and quiet soul will be greatly missed. Del was predeceased by his parents De Loss and Ruby, step-mother Powers, and brother and sister-in-law Daril and Lucille. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Roselyn, daughters Rita Moore, Dee Ann Michel (Dennis), grandchildren David Burrell (Chrissy), Brandon Burrell (Karen), Amy Bowen (Matt), Jeff Michel (Sara), and great-grandchildren Larisa and Michael Burrell, Grace and Allie Bowen, and Liana Michel. There will be a private family memorial service on Sunday, April 13th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Del's behalf to The Ryan House/ where he was lovingly cared for by angels on earth.
